On VNUF's side, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam – Director of the International Cooperation Division, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Xuan Phuong – Vice Director of the International Cooperation Division.
In a spirit of open and constructive discussion, the two sides discussed various potential areas of cooperation, with particular emphasis on a one-semester student exchange program. The program will focus on disciplines such as food technology, biotechnology, agricultural economics, and natural resources management. UNIPR expressed its commitment to financially support its students participating in exchange programs at VNUF and showed strong interest in welcoming Vietnamese students to study at Parma under suitable programs.
Beyond student exchange, both universities agreed to promote academic collaboration, including faculty exchange, joint research projects and publications, Erasmus mobility programs, and co-organization of international conferences. They also showed mutual interest in developing joint academic programs in fields of shared strength, building on the English-taught courses already available at both institutions.
Representatives from both sides also agreed to expand the scope of cooperation across all levels of education – from undergraduate to master's and doctoral programs. Prof. Maria Cecilia Mancini affirmed her role as a liaison between VNUF and the relevant academic units of UNIPR, committed to facilitating the implementation of concrete cooperation initiatives and supporting the search for suitable scholarship opportunities for VNUF students and staff.
The meeting concluded in a positive atmosphere, laying a solid foundation for strengthening the strategic partnership between VNUF and UNIPR in training, scientific research, and international academic exchange.
